Haley Spadafora – Teacher

Hi! My name is Haley and I want to teach your kids! In my last ten years, I have been traveling the world, learning all I can so I can share my experiences and teach subjects in immersive ways. I started by getting my Bachelor’s degree in Conservation Biology and African Studies, then by getting my Master’s of Education in environmental education and curriculum development. I have worked with the Gresham/Barlow school district, Tualatin Hills Parks and Rec, the Oregon Zoo, and Trackers Earth; helping to create and implement educational camps and classes.

Some of my favorite highlights have included “turning into” a mermaid to talk about river health, teaching about mushrooms and lichens via fairies, and creating a large “March Madness” board to discuss animal adaptations in various climates. I would love to see what your student is curious about and see how we can expand that subject holistically to include all core subjects like reading and math. My students usually have so much fun, they don’t realize they are learning!
